Tiviot Prints is a textile company based in Broadbottom, Greater Manchester. We are currently seeking a Digital Print/Designer in our digital print department. The primary job roles are split between day to day running of the digital textile machines and design work.

You’ll be able to attain hands on experience running and working with digital textile printing machines, as well as supporting and developing customers designs from inception through to manufacture.

This role would ideally suit a candidate who has an interest in design and print as full training for operating the printing machines will be provided.

– This hands-on and creative role responsibilities will include:
– Ensuring customer artwork is print ready.
– Operating the digital fabric printers (full training provided)
– Maintaining quality standards throughout the print, loading and unloading of large fabric rolls onto the printers.
– Matching colours using pantone references and fabric samples, creating , printing and organising customer samples.
– Reworking and recolouring archive designs.
– Creating and adapting designs for the interior market.

You must have:

– Excellent skills in Photoshop, Illustrator skills would be an advantage.
– The ability to multi-task – whilst working on the computer, you will also be responsible for supervising the printer.
– A great eye for colour and the ability to create seamless repeats. Attention to detail is key!
– Interest in and knowledge of interior print trends.
– Any knowledge of half-drop repeats and colour separations would be an advantage.
– This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or self-taught designer to get involved in our entirely in-house design and print process, and to see your designs printed onto fabric.
